like they couldn't figure out a sympathetic way to get the crystals without killing a baby dragon? Granted it's a dragon but baby trumps dragon I think.
And my problem with the slo-mo wasn't that it was overused it was that it was not used, especially in the WWI scene. That scene was just a mess. It had the same problem that most action scenes that fail have...I had no idea what was happening. I'd see flashes of make-up and helmets and goggles. It was filmed as though someone with no talent was at the helm.
