ST, I need work advice. The birther co-worker (who otherwise is very smart person) just sent me a video where Obama 'admits' not being American.

Googling the subject of the e-mail + snopes gets the snopes article fully debunking it immediately. I wondering, though, if I should even send the link. The co-worker sent the e-mail via the work e-mail system, and I'm not sure it's appropriate to respond in kind, since political and other non-work-related stuff shouldn't really be on company e-mail. I'm not upset with him sending it to me (perplexed, because he's simply smarter than this) but politics in the workplace is a troubling thing that I generally avoid.
The only reason I would want to send it is because it kills me that he would be making a fool of himself sending this around. I've come to the conclusion that he will never believe anything other than Obama is Kenyan, and I'm not trying to change his mind, but I can at least provide him with evidence to debunk his 'facts'.
What do I do? Ignore? Respond?

Has PDFTT been completely abandoned, never to return as our default reaction to general idiocy?

Reply asking him not to send you non-work-related emails to your work email address. Then add a PS saying the story's been debunked. -- nm
