Because I cant post on FB, I have to post here: The fact that consider a McDonalds Flurry "fast food" is causing issues in my marriage...
|
Most people on FB do not know that my wife is pregnant and so I can not post there. Before we found out she was pregnant, we decided that we were giving up fast food for Lent. My wife does want to consider a flurry as fast food but as "sustinence" and something that the baby is wanting. Shes not happy with me because I consider a Flurry as fast food and breaking the Lent sacrifice. We just had a 30 minute discussion over the interpretation of it.

honestly, and I know I'll catch a lot of crap for this, I think "the baby wants a mcflurry" is a cop out.

You're out-voted 3-1. I learned on Grey's Anatomy a couple of weeks ago that she gets her vote, the baby's vote and the vagina vote. You get one vote.

Strictly speaking pregnant women are exempt from fasting or abstaining from meat...

I gave up sweets for Lent, but thats fishy territory. I got by with chocolate milk & nutter butters (which I maintain are a cracker) -- nm

That's nothing. My wife once gave up beef for Lent, and on day 38 we had an hours-long discussion over whether 100% beef hot dogs were, in fact, beef.

Oh jeez. My take, if you care: The rules don't apply when you're pregnant.
