That's nothing. My wife once gave up beef for Lent, and on day 38 we had an hours-long discussion over whether 100% beef hot dogs were, in fact, beef.

She is not allowed to give up beef again.

For your situation, I suggest your wife gets a do-over on her Lenten vow.
