You have to reauthorize itunes when you change to a new computer or change the operating system on your current computer. Once you re-authorize itunes, you should be able to open itunes, find the preferences and tell it to find all the music on your computer. I'm sorry that I can't tell you step by step what to click on itunes, but I stopped using it almost 2 years ago, I download all my stuff from amazon.com.

I checked D's laptop, running Win 7 and using itunes and all her music lives at c:\users\darcy\my music\itunes\itunes music\music.

The files are buried 6-7 levels deep, keep digging.
