I think the latter.....but the former doesn't deter anyone.

people are always going to demand more; especially when the industry is billions of dollars involved.

but the NCAA doesn't ever do anything to actually put a stop to it; they just smack people down to ding em.

There's schools (Alabama for one) that have had multiple major cases in the last 20 years; if you're serious, you shut em down ala SMU in the late 80's.

And you don't worry abuot the shit "Oh, it'll kill the university." no, it won't. The students and faculty will continue working; the athletic department might not. This is the price you risk.
