I hope the show will be good enough that I will be able to forget how ridiculous looking it is.

One of the things that content creators have figured out is that it's important to have the heroes out of their costumes as much as possible. This is because they're so ridiculous looking. A television show has a much bigger problem in this regard than a movie.
