I wasn't there, but it sounds like he was trying to let the people know that he understands living paycheck to paycheck and stuff.

It didn't really read like he was being a whiny d-bag complaining about his salary.

Just seemed like he was trying to relate to the "everyman."

If that was his thought...it wasn't very smart...but I don't get any malice out of that article.

But what do I know.
