Qale presents: Becoming a Franchise... Part 1: Two companies passing in the fog of night.

Today is the first day we've been taken over by the franchise and are no longer part of YUM Brand.

We got paid today for the pay period 12/9 to 12/22.

Last week, 12/23 through I guess yesterday 12/28 I guess will come as a single week's check perhaps next Monday from YUM Brand.

Then I gather the new company will pick up starting today through a two week pay period culminating in a check on January 14th?

To complicate matters, we're losing our health benefits before a new enrollment period with a new health company. So there may be either a missing deduction or an over deduction in which I'll have to fight for a refund.

Whatever happens, today begins a rather unsettling period in my workplace that hopefully will be only temporary and not as bad as I fear.
