I used to stay at the Embassy Suites (now Conrad) at 102 North End Ave. in downtown Manhatten.

I've also stayed at the Millenium Hilton (also downtown). I liked both places.
I've had a few trips where I stayed at the Tribeca Grand (in the Tribeca section, amazingly). I didn't really care for that one. I only stayed there when I couldn't find a reasonable room somewhere else.
