And perhaps there are gender differences? Nellie McKay wrote (and sang) "men will divest only to a certain degree.. "

It may more often be the women who end it. If so, men could benefit from reading the signs, so it doesn't come as a shock and a real harsh cold shower to them.

(And if so, what *are the signs.. That's another question.)
