This is where I share story of good corporate behaviour....

Two weeks ago went to The Keg Steakhouse for my mom's birthday dinner.

Food was great as always, but the server, while friendly, was late enough and screwed up enough orders and billing that my wife and I email The Keg corporate to complain about it.

Excellent reaction. On the Monday, the manager of the restaurant we ate at called to apologize and get further details. Told him that our server was polite and friendly enough, so it wasn't personal, just that the service couldn't be chalked away as just one or two small things. Found out one of the meals had been deducted from the bill that we didn't know about (my father had picked up the food and hadn't mentioned anything to us about the comp'd meal), but the manager still felt that the night manager at the time should have made that clear to us because it was my wife's meal that was messed up. Anyhow, left the call feeling good about it.

Well yesterday, lo and behold, a letter from said manager with a $50 gift card. Thanking us for the head's up and once again apologizing for the screw up.

We really liked how they handled it. Other companies I've dealt with recently with problems (Shaw) did a piss poor job, so this was a nice change.
