then it can't impact your tax liability. you've already paid taxes on it. you can't pay twice.

make sure that the box for "box whatever on my w2 indicating I had an HSA" is checked. because they may think you have an MFSA and that's totally different from a tax perspective.
generally on the w2, items untaxed or excluded from AGI will have an asterisk next to them or something. if this does, you just need to figure out how to get your tax software not to see it as well.
