The Downfall meme is likely my all-time favorite internet meme. Believe me, I've thought about it.

It's the combination of:
1) The creativity in the writing of many of them,
2) The flexibility of application,
3) The hilarious Over-The-Top confrontation in the clip,
4) The embrace of the original artists involved in the set up (in this case actor/director),
5) Finally, the fact it makes fun of Hitler, the 2nd-place "Greatest Monster of the 20th Century" behind Jimmy Carter.
