TT Advice Question

Over the holidays, my grandmother gave me my great-grandmother's wedding ring in case I were to be in the position to pop the question to my current GF. We've only been dating 6 mo, she's moving in over the next 2 weeks and it's fairly serious, but I'm not in a position to be thinking about marriage quite yet. Possibly down the road.
Where do I keep this? I can't hide it at the house, right? I don't own a safety deposit box anywhere, would that be a good option? Any other brilliant ideas?

Is there a reason you can't tell her about the ring? I think I'm missing the dilemma here.
