Long story made short(er). Monday I ordered a new dish washer for a rental. Communications got crossed and it was delivered on Tuesday but not installed. Students living there, instead of calling us, tried to install. Broke a supply line, flooded kitchen. Called at 5pm. Maintenance went over and shut it off, told them that they would be back at noon the next day to complete repairs. The next morning the tenants called the city to complain they had no water.
The city called us and said, "We received a complaint that so-and-so has no water and that you will be there in 90 minutes to fix it?" I confirmed. He laughed and that was it.
Today I received a call from manager (a good friend) of the HOA which they are a part of. The tenants have PAINTED THEIR NAMES on their front door. I called the city to give them a laugh. They said they wished they could call the tenants, but could not. If I did not have a meeting tonight that I am prepping for, I would go over personally on this one.
