even easier now with microwave ovens. I remember people had to melt the marshmallows in a double boiler. -- nm

I melt the butter in the pot first then add small sized marshmallows. Constantly stir. Then pour into the bowl the rice is in and stir.

After pouring the melted mix I put water in then pot when it's in the sink. I stir the marsh and rice in another bowl. -- nm
