Maybe so, but I also don't think we're in a world now where hesitancy to assimilate should be

those people woulda raised my ire as well; especially since in 1870, getting back to Europe wasn't easy.
You're here, better the nation; not create your own sub-nation and moves like this just seem to do the latter imo.
I'm not anti-immigrant; they serve their purposes but this kinda annoys me.
