I would certainly appreciate an ST debate about the pros and cons of having a single child.

We're definitely planning on having another, partially because of our shared belief that only children often turn out weird. But I don't know how much that is based in reality.

I have no idea how to even discuss it - I was almost an only child, I raised an only child - not sure how it would be different

i don't think that's a given. i think you just need to be sure your kids spend *lots* of unstructured time with other kids if they are only children.
