As in, my parents are divorced, and I was always convinced I would take my sweet-ass time to be "sure" before I married someone.

Which, now in retrospect, I see pretty clearly that you can never be "sure" and that you can introduce a lot of relationship-straining stuff by delaying too much, and as a result I am glad that we found ourselves on an accelerated course to where we are now.
