Or Koreans. Or Pakistanis.
I like that the US is multicultural/multilingual. I like that we have different funky ethnic neighborhoods and cultures and stuff. If you start requiring people to learn English, they will also be losing a little bit of their ethnic identity. They will be a bit more assimilated, a bit less of whatever they were originally. I'm not sure assimilating everyone is something we want for America.
