The first Gaga show I attended had the biggest reaction I've ever seen

She had sold out the 9:30 Club (1,200 people) for 2 shows months before she was popular, and literally 90-95% of the tickets purchased were the gays. No exagerration. So she postponed the show and rescheduled it 9 months later, right after Poker Face came out for Constitution Hall (3,300 people).
All the prior ticket holders got first dibs in a presale and got all the good seats. The remaining went up for general sale. The audience was all gay anywhere close to the stage, and everyone else in the back were parents with kids. I heard lots of comments about how there were lots of gays at the concert. Some not so nice comments, which were sorted out very very quickly. When she started singing parents were stunned.
It was capped off with "Boys Boys Boys" when she said something like "I dedicate this to the DC gays who have been with me from the beginning. Enjoy it and I wanna see you dancing with eachother now and tonight, because you look like sex right now"
