there's like 3 types of tourneys.

there's the League (Bundis / Premiership / La Liga...etc etc) that's akin to MLB.

then there's a cup that's usually a national cup where you'll get teams from all levels of play involved (if the MLB played the Minors in a tourney to determine the American baseball champion)

and then there's the Champions league which would be like taking all the champs from the AL, the NL, the PCL, the IL....the Mexican champion, the Canadian champion, the Dominican champ..etc)
