House was there when 13 got out of prison. He gave her a martini, and they went for a drive - to a Spud Gun competition that House has lost several years in a row to a guy named Harry Lam.
13 has a bunch of experience with chemistry, House knows, so he gets her to help him amp up his spud gun.
House and Lam have an eastwood-style terse standoff in the dusty parking lot, with 13 in the background attempting to "model" the spudgun. She accidentally hits the trigger and blows out a truck window.
Later on, after House picks the least opportune moment to pry the truth out of 13 about what sent her to prison, Lam taunts House while House is holding the spud gun.
Cut to the local state trooper's office, with House coming out the door, 13 is leaning against House's car like he was at the beginning. She hands him an orange soda, and he says they let him off with a warning because Lam had felt up the chief's daughter the night before at a party.
(Lam is a 17 year old asian kid, approx)
