I don't think there is even the slightest chance. In his own way, he views Raylan as his best friend. He knows that the decisions he makes right now will cause them to be at odds from now on yet I cannot see him moving proactively like that. This is a different sort of heel turn. He's cleaning out the people he perceives to be amateurs. That's what made the Dickie chat so entertaining. While Dickie flapped his mouth, Boyd silently contemplated how he could use this new development to his advantage.
