This is a new addition to the condition where, for the past couple years, you have to stick a knife into the side of the start button for it to work.

The turning-on-when-you-open-the-door scares the hell out of my brother and I when it happens to us, which amuses my parents to no end. Maybe that's why they haven't submitted to the seemingly obvious need to REPLACE THE GODDAMN THING!!!
