The dog is actually going to the vet tomorrow because he has been "sick" for the last 2 days.

He got into the trash Sunday night and helped himself to onions (I guess they are potentially toxic to dogs), potato peels, and up to 3 lbs. of ham (I'm not sure how much he ate, but the vet is actually more concerned with the ham over the onions). After dealing with...gross after-effects...all day, he is going to the vet tomorrow.
Needless to say, he will not be getting access to people food, accidental or otherwise, for quite a while. :)
