I can't remember where I heard it, but some sports commentator suggested a skills challenge rather than the Pro Bowl.

Rather than have a bunch of players out on a field avoiding each other as much as possible to keep away from injuries, set up a bunch of skills challenges like MLB, NHL, and the NBA do during their all-star games.
I think that's a much better option.
