Well, I did actually have to take cover in the downstairs bathroom of the house (innermost room) for a few minutes when things got all crazy

outside. When the TV people said for people near 540 and 401 to take cover immediately I got downstairs and outside I could see the trees moving every which way. Lost power then too. So it was me, a flashlight and the radio in the bathroom with pillows around me.

The one tornado passed up the road, hit that Cardinal Grove subdiv near us. I suspect at its closest point it was maybe a mile away.

Too close for comfort.

- I think we were maybe 4 miles from one of them at the closest. We actually did loose power but I was worried about some trees for a while. Luckily my - sycor Apr 21, 08:58 2

    - yeah that's right by my work, which was also unharmed, but the trailer park is about a half mile away. Tornadoes are strange. -- nm - sycor Apr 21, 09:01
