That's the strong word going around town. I've yet to see it from someone who might actually be in the know. I think it's horrible if true.

So much goodwill lost if they don't call them the Jets. And the "Manitoba" vs. "Winnipeg" thing? I say this as a proud Western Manitoba rural farm kid.... Fuck that noise. Nobody outside the city will be more inclined to follow them or see a game because it's Manitoba instead of Winnipeg. We're practically a city-province anyhow. I say run with the established brand that will have nostalgic loyalty to it. It's dollars and cents.
