I've dumped tons of stuff in the disposal. Tons. make sure to run hot water...and you don't do it all at once...but feed it in.... -- nm

I rarely run hot water in the disposal, because the pipe leading to main drain is plastic -- nm

I've never heard that. My plumber told me to run the hot water cause it will flush the remains away better....

It had been in the fridge for a while before I cooked it - I think I wound up cooking it on the last 'sell by' date.
