we have slightly more ICU rooms (about 50 to 40), but in our ER if we get more patients than we have rooms/beds we bring in more in the halls to

accomidate. in a nutshell we have more "rooms" in the ICU, but more potential for "beds" in the ER. I don't know how typical that is though
