I don't buy it, I think there's a concerted effort by a small group of people to manipulate the metacritic score. It's not a 4 hour game.

They hit it hard in the early going, all with the same complaint (It's too short and there's $80 of DLC in the "cash shop" on day one!) (And they all seemed to use that same "cash shop" term) but since then the score's rebounded to a 7.9.
I'm almost an hour and a half in split between the PC and PS3 and I've only just now finished chapter 1 of 10.
