There is such a thing as over training. It takes time to recover, and the older you get the longer it takes.

A massage would help remove the lactic acid, but that can be expensive and getting one every day isn't practical. Somebody gave me a mechanical massager (probably from sharper image or the like). It works pretty well at loosening up muscles and is called a Maxi Rub Massager. I like to turn it upside down and rest my feet on it after a long hike.
You are drinking a lot of water, but because of everything you are putting your body through, you may want to try drinking even more. Water helps flush out waste products (like lactic acid) and can help keep your metabolism up. Some of my tenants drink a gallon of water per work out.
