totally agreed. The interesting thing is that the following year it was going to be the Hunt for Locutus. Stewart was getting tired...

and wanted a lighter schedule and more money...so they developed the cliffhanger. And Riker and the crew were going to be Hunting/Rescuing Picard. Well the syndicators and the Paramount higher ups let it be known that they wanted Stewart full time on the show, so they gave him a huge pay raise....
