Yes the Royal Family does get some money from the government but she is head of state and does pay income taxes along with other members of the family. The tourism that comes as a result of the Royal Family (all the people coming to the UK for the wedding) and the emotional and unifying impact she has country more than outweigh the benefits she and the Family may get.
