of high interest CDs I was holding. Today one of them matured and I went to the closest branch to close it. Everything went quite smoothly until the teller asked if I knew there'd be a $10 fee for the cashier's check.

"Umm, no" and with my best WTF look, "how else would I get the funds?"

I was about to ask for it in cash when there was a hurried consultation with a manager and I became a valued customer and they'd be happy to waive the fee :)

Can't wait 'til the last one matures.
