Yes, as in any profession there are some bad apples in medicine, but the majority of doctors only want to do what is right for their patient. I've seen patients freaking BEG to have labor induced and if their body or the baby isn't ready, the docs refuse. When they do make the decision to induce labor, one of the things that is stressed to the Mom and Dad-to-be is the higher than normal chance of having to have a C-section. You're making it sound like there are a bunch of mad scientist obstricians running around inducing labor all willy-nilly. Stop it.
