I'm just wrestling with the idea from a standpoint of pure attorney ethics -- how does being a convicted sex offender not undermine the "moral fitness" requirement?

Not that I'm a hang-'em-high type of retributive justice person, but for the sake of preserving the public trust in the institution, and trust in lawyers, it seems ... shaky.
