I'm just being honest about my reaction. It leads me to a weird place.
The question about how military feel is interesting. I'm sure it's probably a little more monolithic than most other segments of US society, in that they *need* to be project/goal oriented to efficiently work. So goal achievement focus probably is far more understandable and less leading towards internal conflict.
