Ran a hot bath for myself (before you mock, I have an old apartment with no shower)... and just as I went to jump in, I realized the water had been turned off, no water at all. It wouldn't be so strange since they'd been renovating one of the apartments and they've turned off the water in the building randomly to work on the pipes or whatever. Sometimes we're given warning, sometimes not, but today being New Year's Day, you wouldn't think they'd be doing any work on the apartment/building because being a holiday, IT IS ILLEGAL. Well, I called my landlord to tell him the water was off and he mocked surprise "How can that be? They're not working on the apartment, it's a holiday! I'll send someone down there to check it out." Less than five minutes later, the water is back on. So either the landlord is a miracle worker and can turn the water off and on in the building just by his thought.... or he knew that he got busted and had them turn the water back on as to not get reported to the city. What a fuckhead not to just be honest about it and say "Oh, yeah, we turned off the water again, sorry."
