Haven't touched base with him in almost 20 years, but we're friends on facebook. He has a (common-law wife? they are listed as in a domestic partnership) and three kids and I saw something in late April about how he was being evicted from his place by the end of the month. Sounds like it was dude to late/non-payment. Apparently, he got it paid, but they still wanted him out and the court didn't block it, so he was going to be homeless in a few days.
As of today, looks like the five of them are in a room at the Super 8.
I feel terrible for them. I can't say for certain, but don't think he has a specific skillset of education. I think he's a blue-collar worker and it's just been hard for them lately.
His (partner) wrote on his wall recently "I love u...well be okay as long as were together"
I'm thrilled they have each other, bu feel so bad for them in this situation
