guess who found a lump in her chest last week? yep, she did.
good news: technically it's not cancer.
bad news: it's some highly uncommon non-cancerous sarcoma called fibromatosis that, while it won't metastasize and spread all over her body and all that, can be very locally aggressive and spread into her muscle tissue and bone tissue if it isn't removed. so next week she goes for an MRI to determine exactly how much they need to remove around the sarcoma to make sure they got it all and it won't recur, and then the next week she'll have surgery on that, and then get a whopping 5 weeks to recover before going under the knife again to have her spine refused.
we're basically in familial shock at this point.
