I did some independent traveling this wknd and asked the locals what they think of the whole Bin Laden thing. 3 main schools of thought emerged.

1. He's still alive, otherwise why won't Obama release the pictures?
2. He was killed 4-5 years ago, but since Obama is up for reelection, he needed the poll boost.
3. Bin Laden never existed, he's merely a creation of the USA government as justification for their actions and as a concrete face of terrorism.
As an estimate, it felt like ~80% of the people believed some sort of conspiracy theory, while only ~20% answered straightforwardly "yes it's good he died" (no one said it was bad).
