How many times do I ask out a girl who seems interested, before I give up? We met on the Metro. I asked her out that night, she already had plans, I emailed later to see if she wanted to do something that weekend instead. She couldn't that weekend, so I tried again for the following weekend--same thing. The only reason I haven't stopped asking altogether (because believe me, I'm not as dense as it sounds) is because in between each invitation, she contacts me several times and urges me to ask her out again. The most recent text I have from her says "Ohhh man I can't do next Saturday either! But what about the following week?" But I know that if I ask her out one day the following week, she'll have another excuse like the first three. Persist, or give up?
