While I don't think he can sustain his current level (.517 OBP, 266 OPS+) all season, there was one reason to think he might have another great year.

There was at least one person who did an analysis of his claim that he changed his swing, and that change lead to his increase in HRs. They agreed with that assessment and said that they wouldn't be surprised for the power to continue. This was a little past the All-Star break last year, I think.
I didn't expect him to hit another 50+ this year (and certainly not the 67 he's currently projected to hit), but the talk of sub-30 seemed to be too much of a drop.
