I dislike the Animated category because it treats animation as a genre. It's akin to having a Best Gangster Film Oscar. Either an

animated film is worthy of a Best Picture nod or not. There's a built in excuse for the Academy to never nominate one as Best Picture so long as Best Animated exists.
