Never been to the other places, but TOT is one of my fave lunch places in downtown. YMMV, if you're looking for a full bar, then yeah it's not the place you want.
Far East Cafe, on 1st Street, in Little Tokyo is a cozy restaurant/bar. Only been there a couple times, but I really liked it.
