Rob took Amber to the final in All-Stars. He may have "lost" All-Stars, but it all still played out according to his plan. He had all the goods to win in All-Stars but opted not to. His elimination in Heroes vs. Villains may have simply been a result of his having become too cocky and self-confident, something he corrected for Redemption Island.
Yes, he was once the "greatest Survivor player to have never won the game", but it was all by his own accord. He was in a position to have won it by just his second appearance. By his fourth appearance, he had locked it down.
