I've always been a Yankee fan but I loved Gary Carter when I was a kid. I tried to use his batting stance in little league but couldn't get the bat around in time. :-)
On my baseball card I listed the Yanks as my favorite team and Mattingly and Carter as my favorite players.

I hope everything goes well for him and his recovery is quick and easy.
